This unique group, targeted towards early learners (18-36 months), is open to anyone looking to enhance their child’s confidence, communication, and play skills through exploration and socialization. All classes are led by a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The class format takes on a multi-sensory based approach to learning to promote:
- Language comprehension skills (e.g., following directions, understanding concepts, answering questions)
- Expressive language skills (e.g., increasing vocabulary, teaching functional communication strategies to reduce frustration)
- Speech sound development (e.g., teaching how to produce sounds)
- Social skills (e.g., turn taking, recognizing emotions)
- Play skills (e.g., pretend play, problem solving through play)
Sessions include literacy activities, music, sensory experiences as well as fine and gross motor activities that foster language development, exploring and learning.
The groups are held in 10-week sessions in our central Greenwich-based clinic.
