Katherine Sotzing, M.S., CCC-SLP is the founder and director of Speech Specialists of Connecticut. She received her Bachelors of Science from Boston University in Communications. After a move cross-country and four years teaching at The Hamlin School for Girls in San Francisco, CA, Katherine went on to obtain her Master’s of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology from California State University, East Bay.  She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist, dually licensed in the states of NY and CT.  

As a mother of two young children, Katherine understands that parents and caregivers are their child’s most important teachers. She sees collaboration with families and the professional teams of the clients she services as a key element to success. Katherine honed her skill set working in a variety of pediatric and adult settings (private practice, as a member of a preschool diagnostic team, early intervention, public schools, hospitals and homes) providing treatment to individuals presenting with an array of disorders including, but not limited to: childhood apraxia of speech, oral feeding disorders, specific language impairment, speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive language impairments, cognitive delays, fluency disorders, social communication disorders, tongue thrust, aphasia, dysphagia and dysarthria.

As a native of Greenwich, CT, Katherine is excited to be servicing families in the community that she was raised in and is raising her family in. She is passionate about seeing her clients excel, gain confidence and find their voice. Katherine’s outgoing personality and warm nature allow her to easily connect with her clients to make learning fun and motivating.
